Zakat on Foreign Currency
Foreign currency is zakatable. Convert its value to your local currency on your Zakat date and include it in your calculation.
If you hold money in a foreign currency (dollars, euros, riyals, etc.), it is zakatable. Convert the amount to your local currency using the exchange rate on your Zakat date.
How to Value Foreign Currency
Use the current exchange rate.
On the day you calculate your Zakat, check the exchange rate for each foreign currency you hold. Convert each amount to pounds (or your base currency) and add it to your total zakatable wealth.
