Zakat on Silver – How It Works
Silver is zakatable, just like gold. If you own silver above the nisab threshold for one year, Zakat is due.
Silver is treated the same as gold for Zakat purposes. If you own 612.36 grams of silver (the nisab), or its value in other wealth, Zakat becomes due at 2.5%.
